Chianti region is situated in Tuscany (Toscana) and stretches between the cities of Florence (Firenze) and Siena. Villas, castles and farmhouses are scattered throughout every hill and valley. Chianti area is know for one of the most famous wine in the world and also for its history, artistic heritage and natural beauty.
We suggest the following alternative itinerary between Florence and Siena:
Florence, Badia a Passignano, San Donato in Poggio, Tignano, Barberino Val D'Elsa, Sant'Appiano, Linari, Petrognano, San Donnino (Semifonte), Certaldo, San Gimignano (is possible also an escursion to the ruins of Castelvecchio), Colle Val D'Elsa, Monteriggioni, Siena.
