Vesuvius or the mountain as it is called by the Neapolitans, is the symbol of this land, the fruit of the material flowed from the centre of the earth that dominates for thousands the Gulf of Naples. The road leading to the observatory of Vesuvio is surrounded by citrus groves and typical cultivations of this land. For the more adventurous can not miss the hiking trail in the path of Gran Cono (1000 above sea level) characterized by a series of panoramic winding roads where there is a panoramic view over thee Somma Mount and then further up the Gulf of Naples, the pinewood of the  Tirone Reserve and  Umberto Hill. At an altitude of 1118 meters above sea level you can reach a checkpoint after paying a ticket you can continue on a path overlooking the crater of Vesuvius.
